The Dayara Bugyal Trek is one of the most stunning and beginner-friendly treks in Uttarakhand, offering lush green meadows, dense forests, and breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Located at 12,000 ft, this trek is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers. During winter, the meadows are covered with thick snow, making it a great alternative to Kedarkantha for a snow trek.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Dehradun – Drive to Raithal (7-8 hrs)
  • Meet our team in Dehradun and start a scenic drive to Raithal, the trek’s starting point.
  • Enjoy the views of Bhagirathi River, Uttarkashi, and Gangotri Valley on the way.
  • Check into a guesthouse/homestay and rest for the night.
Day 2: Trek from Raithal to Gui (9,300 ft) (4 km trek, 3-4 hrs)
  • Start the trek through oak and rhododendron forests, gradually ascending towards Gui campsite.
  • Enjoy the first clear view of Bandarpoonch Peak.
  • Overnight stay in tents under the stars.
Day 3: Gui to Dayara Bugyal (12,000 ft) – Explore the Meadows (5 km trek, 4-5 hrs)
  • Today’s trail opens up to vast alpine meadows with panoramic mountain views.
  • Spend the day exploring Dayara Bugyal’s rolling green pastures and take in the stunning Himalayan views.
  • Capture breathtaking photographs of snow-capped peaks.
  • Overnight camping at Dayara Bugyal campsite.
Day 4: Dayara Bugyal to Raithal (9 km trek, 5-6 hrs) – Drive to Uttarkashi
  • Descend back through the same beautiful forests, taking in the fresh mountain air.
  • Drive to Uttarkashi and enjoy the evening in a comfortable guesthouse.
Day 5: Drive from Uttarkashi to Dehradun (6-7 hrs)
  • Drive back to Dehradun, marking the end of an unforgettable trek.

Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Events:
  • If we cancel the trek due to unexpected situations like natural disasters, floods, or political unrest, we will issue a trek voucher instead of a refund. This voucher is valid for one year and can be used for the same or a different trek.

     

Cancellation Due to Personal Reasons:

If you cancel your trek for personal reasons, the following policy applies:

  • No Cash Refunds: We do not provide cash refunds. Instead, a voucher will be issued.

  • Cancellation 30 Days or More Before Trek: A voucher for the full booking amount will be issued.

  • Cancellation 20–29 Days Before Trek: 50% of the booking amount will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be provided as a voucher.

  • Cancellation Less Than 20 Days Before Trek: No voucher will be issued.

What is the best time to visit?
  • December to March for a snow trek experience.
  • April to June for lush green meadows and pleasant weather.
What should I pack for the trek?
  • Essential gear includes warm jackets, trekking shoes, gloves, thermal wear, sunglasses, and a backpack. We provide sleeping bags and tents.

Is there network connectivity on the trek?
  • There is limited network availability in Sankri, and no network beyond that point. Enjoy a digital detox in nature.

How cold does it get?

Temperatures can drop to -5°C during winter nights, so warm layering is essential.
