Hanuman Tibba (5,928m) is the highest peak in the Dhauladhar Range of the Himalayas, offering an exhilarating and technical climb for seasoned trekkers and mountaineers. Located near Manali, Himachal Pradesh, this expedition is known for its challenging ascents, crevasse-filled glaciers, and steep ice walls. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Manali (2,050m) – Acclimatization & Briefing
  • Meet our team and fellow climbers at a designated hotel in Manali.

  • Expedition briefing covering route details, safety measures, and essential gear check.

  • Spend the day exploring Old Manali, Hadimba Temple, and local cafes for light activity.

  • Overnight stay in Manali (hotel/guesthouse)

Day 2: Drive to Solang Valley (2,500m) – Trek to Bakarthach (3,300m)
  • Drive: 1 hour from Manali to Solang Valley.

  • Trek Distance: 5-6 km (3-4 hours).

  • Cross lush meadows, conifer forests, and river streams en route to Bakarthach.

  • Camping under the open sky with stunning mountain views.

  • Overnight stay in tents at Bakarthach.

Day 3: Acclimatization & Training at Bakarthach
  • Light trek to higher altitude for acclimatization.

  • Technical training session on using ice axes, crampons, ropework, and climbing techniques.

  • Rest and prepare for the next ascent.

  • Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Trek from Bakarthach to Base Camp (4,500m)
  • Trek Distance: 6-7 km (5-6 hours).

  • Pass through moraine-filled terrain, boulder patches, and glacial streams.

  • Establish base camp near Beas Kund Glacier with magnificent views of Hanuman Tibba.

  • Rest, hydrate, and prepare for upcoming summit push.

  • Overnight stay in tents.

Day 5: Acclimatization & Ice Craft Training at Base Camp
    • A crucial day for proper altitude adjustment.

    • Glacier training session: Practicing on steep ice slopes, crevasse rescue drills, and rope techniques.

    • Early bedtime for energy conservation.

    • Overnight stay in tents.

Day 6: Base Camp to Summit Camp (5,200m)
  • Trek Distance: 5-6 km (5-6 hours).

  • A steep climb over snowfields and ice ridges.

  • Set up the summit camp on a narrow plateau.

  • Rest early to prepare for the final summit push.

  • Overnight stay in tents at high altitude.

Day 7: Summit Attempt (5,928m) & Return to Base Camp
  • Summit push starts at 2:00 AM for stable ice conditions.

  • Technical climb with exposed ridges, 60-70° ice slopes, and strong winds.

  • Reach Hanuman Tibba summit (~8:00 AM) to witness breathtaking views of Indrasan, Deo Tibba, Pir Panjal, and Bara Shigri Glacier.

  • Descent back to Base Camp after a successful summit.

  • Overnight stay at Base Camp.

Day 8: Base Camp to Bakarthach (3,300m)
    • Trek Distance: 6-7 km (4-5 hours).

    • A relaxing descent after the exhausting summit climb.

    • Enjoy final moments in the alpine meadows before returning to lower altitude.

    • Overnight stay in tents at Bakarthach.

Day 9: Bakarthach to Solang Valley – Drive to Manali
    • Trek Distance: 5 km (3 hours).

    • Final trek back to Solang Valley.

    • Drive to Manali (1 hour).

    • Expedition debriefing and celebration dinner.

    • Overnight stay in Manali (hotel/guesthouse).

Day 10: Departure from Manali
  • End of the expedition.
  • Participants can explore Manali before heading back home.

  • Breakfast: Wake-up Tea/Coffee, Biscuits, Aloo Paratha with Achaar, Boiled Egg, Bread with Butter/Jam, Fresh Fruits.

  • Lunch: Roti/Chapati, Rice/Chawal, Manchurian Rice, Salad, Dal (Rajma/Mixed Dal), Mixed-Veg, Kofta Curry.

  • Snacks: Tea/Coffee, Pakoda, Finger Chips, Veg Cutlet, Maggi, Soup, Popcorn.

  • Dinner: Roti/Chapati, Rice/Chawal, Matar Paneer, Mixed Dal, Salad, Papad, Sweets (Gulab Jamun, Jalebi), Fruit Custard.

How to Reach

  • Nearest Airport: Bhuntar Airport (Kullu-Manali Airport) (Approx. 50 km from Manali)

  • Flights Available: Regular flights operate from Delhi & Chandigarh to Bhuntar. However, flight schedules may be affected by weather conditions.

  • From Bhuntar to Manali: You can take a taxi (₹1500-₹2500) or a local bus (₹100-₹200) to reach Manali in around 1.5-2 hours.

  • Nearest Railway Station: Chandigarh Railway Station (310 km from Manali)

  • Other Nearby Stations:

    • Joginder Nagar Railway Station (163 km from Manali) – Small station, limited connectivity.

    • Ambala Cantt (335 km from Manali) – Major station with better connectivity.

  • From Chandigarh to Manali: You can take a bus (₹700-₹1500) or hire a cab (₹5000-₹8000), which takes around 8-10 hours.

  • Manali is well-connected by road to major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, and Dehradun.

  • From Delhi: Distance is 530 km, and travel time is 12-14 hours via NH3.

  • From Chandigarh: Distance is 310 km, and travel time is 7-9 hours.

  • Bus Services: You can book Volvo, HRTC, and private buses from Delhi ISBT, Kashmiri Gate, or online platforms like RedBus and HRTC.

  • Self-Drive: You can also drive via Chandigarh–Mandi–Kullu route.

Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Events:
  • If we cancel the trek due to unexpected situations like natural disasters, floods, or political unrest, we will issue a trek voucher instead of a refund. This voucher is valid for one year and can be used for the same or a different trek.

     

Cancellation Due to Personal Reasons:

If you cancel your trek for personal reasons, the following policy applies:

  • No Cash Refunds: We do not provide cash refunds. Instead, a voucher will be issued.

  • Cancellation 30 Days or More Before Trek: A voucher for the full booking amount will be issued.

  • Cancellation 20–29 Days Before Trek: 50% of the booking amount will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be provided as a voucher.

  • Cancellation Less Than 20 Days Before Trek: No voucher will be issued.

  • The Kedarnath Trek is a moderate-level trek. If you are fit and healthy, you can complete it comfortably.
  • We ensure proper guidance, breaks, and support to make it easier.

What if I can’t complete the climb?
