Arrive in Dehradun and meet the expedition team. Begin your drive to Gangotri, a beautiful town located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. As you travel through the picturesque mountains, enjoy breathtaking views of the hills, rivers, and valleys. Arrive at Gangotri by evening and check-in at a guesthouse for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Acclimatization Day in Gangotri

Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude. Explore the spiritual town of Gangotri and visit the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Rest and prepare for the trek ahead while allowing your body to adjust to the increasing altitude. Overnight stay in Gangotri.

Day 3: Gangotri to Bhojwasa (Trek – 14 km)

After breakfast, begin your trek to Bhojwasa, a scenic camping spot located at the base of the Shivling massif. The trail gradually ascends through beautiful forests and meadows, with views of the Bhagirathi peaks and the Gangotri Glacier. Reach Bhojwasa by afternoon, set up camp, and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Overnight camping at Bhojwasa.

Day 4: Bhojwasa to Nandanvan (Trek – 10 km)

Today, embark on a trek to Nandanvan, a meadow located near the base of Mount Shivling. The trail takes you through rocky terrain and past several small streams. As you approach Nandanvan, enjoy spectacular views of the Shivling peak, Bhagirathi, and the surrounding glaciers. This will be your base camp for the expedition. Overnight camping at Nandanvan.

Day 5-8: Nandanvan to Base Camp (Trek and Rest Days)

These days will be used for further acclimatization, resting, and preparations for the summit push. During this period, you’ll conduct training sessions on mountaineering techniques, including ice climbing, rock climbing, and the use of climbing equipment like crampons and ice axes. This phase is crucial for getting familiar with the high-altitude conditions and preparing both mentally and physically for the climb.

Day 9-12: Summit Push (Shivling Summit Attempt)

After sufficient preparation and a well-rested period, the summit push begins. This stage involves scaling technical sections of the mountain, including glacier crossings, steep rock faces, and snow slopes. Using mountaineering techniques, you will gradually ascend towards the summit. The climb is physically demanding and requires strong endurance and focus. On reaching the top, you will be rewarded with 360-degree views of the surrounding peaks, including Mount Meru, Mount Bhagirathi, and the Gangotri Glacier. Once at the summit, spend a short time taking in the views before descending back to base camp.
