Auden’s Col is one of the most challenging and thrilling treks in the Garhwal Himalayas, connecting Rudugaira Valley and Bhilangna Valley. It is a high-altitude mountain pass between Gangotri and Kedarnath, offering breathtaking views of Jogin Peaks, Kedar Dome, and Bhagirathi Massif. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Dehradun – Drive to Gangotri (241 km | 10-12 hours)
    • Meet our team in Dehradun early morning

    • Scenic drive through Mussoorie, Uttarkashi, and Harsil Valley

    • Reach Gangotri (3,048m) by evening

    • Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Gangotri

Day 2: Acclimatization and Exploration in Gangotri
  • Visit Gangotri Temple and explore the surroundings

  • Short hikes for acclimatization

  • Trek briefing and preparation

  • Night stay in Gangotri

Day 3: Gangotri to Nala Camp (8 km | 6-7 hours)
  • Trek starts with gradual ascent through pine and birch forests

  • Beautiful views of Rudugaira Valley

  • Camp setup at Nala Camp (3,800m)

Day 4: Nala Camp to Rudugaira Base Camp (6 km | 5-6 hours)
  • Steep climb with stunning views of Jogin Peaks

  • Rocky terrain and glacier views

  • Reach Rudugaira Base Camp (4,350m)

Day 5: Rudugaira Base Camp to Auden’s Col Base Camp (6 km | 6-7 hours)
  • Challenging day with a steep ascent

  • Trek through glacial moraines

  • Camp near Auden’s Col Base Camp (4,700m)

Day 6: Cross Auden’s Col (5,490m) – Descend to Khatling Glacier (10 km | 10-12 hours)
  • Most challenging day of the trek

  • Early morning climb to Auden’s Col Pass

  • Descend to Khatling Glacier (4,500m)

  • Trek over crevasses, snowfields, and ice bridges

  • Camp on Khatling Glacier

Day 7: Khatling Glacier to Zero Point (10 km | 8-9 hours)
  • Trek down through moraines and steep ridges

  • Reach Zero Point, where the glacier ends

  • Overnight stay at camp

Day 8: Zero Point to Chowki (8 km | 6-7 hours)
  • Easier trek through alpine meadows and forests

  • Reach Chowki (3,800m) for an overnight stay

Day 9: Chowki to Masar Tal (7 km | 6-7 hours)
  • Moderate trek with steep ascents

  • Reach the stunning Masar Tal (4,135m)

  • Overnight stay near the lake

Day 10: Masar Tal to Vasuki Tal (10 km | 7-8 hours)
  • Another high-altitude trek with stunning views

  • Camp at Vasuki Tal (4,135m), near Kedarnath

Day 11: Vasuki Tal to Kedarnath (5 km | 4-5 hours)
    • Trek down to Kedarnath Temple (3,583m)

    • Explore the temple and surroundings

    • Night stay in Kedarnath

Day 12: Kedarnath to Gaurikund – Drive to Rishikesh (220 km | 8-9 hours)
    • Trek to Gaurikund (14 km)

    • Drive back to Rishikesh

    • Trek ends

  • Lunch: Roti/Chapati, Rice/Chawal, Manchurian Rice, Salad, Dal (Rajma/Mixed Dal), Mixed-Veg, Kofta Curry.

  • Snacks: Tea/Coffee, Pakoda, Finger Chips, Veg Cutlet, Maggi, Soup, Popcorn.

  • Dinner: Roti/Chapati, Rice/Chawal, Matar Paneer, Mixed Dal, Salad, Papad, Sweets (Gulab Jamun, Jalebi), Fruit Custard.

  • Nearest airport: Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (250 km from Gangotri)
  • Take a taxi or shared cab to Uttarkashi & then to Gangotri
  • Nearest railway station: Dehradun (240 km from Gangotri)
  • Buses and shared taxis are available from Dehradun to Gangotri
  • Direct buses and cabs available from Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh
  • Travel via Uttarkashi to reach Gangotri

Initiating Cancellation:

Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Events:
  • If we cancel the trek due to unexpected situations like natural disasters, floods, or political unrest, we will issue a trek voucher instead of a refund. This voucher is valid for one year and can be used for the same or a different trek.

     

Cancellation Due to Personal Reasons:

If you cancel your trek for personal reasons, the following policy applies:

  • No Cash Refunds: We do not provide cash refunds. Instead, a voucher will be issued.

  • Cancellation 30 Days or More Before Trek: A voucher for the full booking amount will be issued.

  • Cancellation 20–29 Days Before Trek: 50% of the booking amount will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be provided as a voucher.

  • Cancellation Less Than 20 Days Before Trek: No voucher will be issued.

Prior high-altitude trekking experience is highly recommended.

Is there network connectivity?

No network after Gangotri, so inform your family beforehand.
