Itinerary (5 Days / 4 Nights)

Day 1: Haridwar/Rishikesh to Uttarkashi (Approx. 7-8 Hours, 180 km)
  • Pick-up from Haridwar/Rishikesh in the morning.
  • Scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills alongside the Bhagirathi River.
  • En route visit to Prakateshwar Cave, a natural limestone cave dedicated to Lord Shiva.
  • Check-in at the hotel in Uttarkashi and evening visit to Vishwanath Temple
Day 2: Uttarkashi to Gangotri (Approx. 4-5 Hours, 100 km)
  • Early morning departure for Gangotri.
  • Stop at Gangnani, famous for its hot water springs.
  • Reach Gangotri by noon and visit the Gangotri Temple, where Goddess Ganga is worshipped.
  • Witness the Ganga Aarti in the evening by the riverbank.
  • Overnight stay in Gangotri.
Day 3: Explore Gaumukh Glacier (Optional Trek - 18 km, Moderate to Difficult)
  • Trek to Gaumukh Glacier, the actual source of the Ganges.
  • Experience breathtaking views of Shivling Peak, Bhagirathi Peaks, and Mount Meru.
  • Return to Gangotri by evening and rest.
Day 4: Gangotri to Uttarkashi
  • After morning prayers, start the return journey to Uttarkashi.
  • Evening rest and explore the local market.
  • Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 5: Uttarkashi to Haridwar/Rishikesh
  • Depart for Haridwar/Rishikesh with a heart full of divine blessings.
  • Drop-off at the respective locations.
