Overview

The Nanda Devi Base Camp Trek is a mesmerizing journey to the foothills of India’s second-highest peak, Nanda Devi (7,816m). Situated in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, this trek takes you through pristine valleys, dense rhododendron forests, remote villages, and breathtaking alpine meadows, offering unparalleled views of Nanda Devi and its surrounding peaks.

The trek follows a historic route once used by legendary mountaineers like Eric Shipton and H.W. Tilman, who first explored the Nanda Devi Sanctuary in the 1930s. Due to environmental concerns, access to the inner sanctuary is restricted, but the outer sanctuary and Nanda Devi East Base Camp (4,200m) provide equally stunning views of the Himalayan giant.
