Overview

The PangarChulla Trek is an exciting and relatively lesser-known adventure located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. This trek, which takes you to an altitude of 4,300 meters (14,107 ft), offers a blend of challenging terrain, stunning landscapes, and the serenity of the Himalayas. The trail takes you through dense forests, alpine meadows, and high-altitude pastures, with panoramic views of majestic peaks like Kalanag and Swargarohini. Ideal for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path adventure, the Pangar Chulla Trek promises a unique, raw experience in nature.

Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive – 200 km | 8-9 hrs)
  • Begin your journey early from Dehradun and enjoy a scenic drive through Mussoorie, Purola, and Mori, following the Tons River.

  • Arrive in Sankri by evening, where you will stay in a guesthouse or homestay for the night.

Day 2: Sankri to Taluka (Drive – 12 km | 1 hr) and trek to Datmir (Trek – 7 km)
  • After a short drive to Taluka, begin your trek through thick forests, crossing streams and rolling meadows.

  • Reach Datmir, a beautiful campsite surrounded by alpine meadows and forests. Camp for the night.
Day 3: Datmir to PangarChulla Base Camp (Trek – 7 km)
    • Start your trek towards PangarChulla, gradually ascending through rhododendron and oak forests.

    • As you gain altitude, the landscape transforms into alpine meadows and snow-covered grounds.

  • Reach the PangarChulla Base Camp and enjoy views of the snow-capped peaks and vast valleys. Camp overnight.

 

Day 4: PangarChulla Base Camp to PangarChulla Summit and back (Trek – 10 km)
  • Early morning trek to the summit of PangarChulla, where you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of the Kalanag Peak, Swargarohini, and other surrounding peaks.

  • After spending some time at the summit, descend back to the base camp for an overnight stay.

Day 5: PangarChulla Base Camp to Datmir (Trek – 7 km)
  • Retrace your steps back to Datmir, descending through the same picturesque trail.

  • Enjoy the peaceful surroundings as you camp overnight in Datmir.

Day 6: Datmir to Taluka and drive back to Sankri (Trek – 7 km | Drive – 1 hr)
  • Continue your trek back to Taluka, and then take a short drive back to Sankri.

  • Rest and relax in Sankri after a fulfilling day of trekking.
Day 7: Sankri to Dehradun (Drive – 200 km | 8-9 hrs)
  • After breakfast, depart from Sankri for Dehradun.

  • Arrive in Dehradun by evening, reflecting on the incredible memories of your trek.

Food Menu

  • Breakfast: Wake-up Tea/Coffee, Biscuits, Aloo Paratha with Achaar, Boiled Egg, Bread with Butter/Jam, Fresh Fruits.

  • Lunch: Roti/Chapati, Rice/Chawal, Manchurian Rice, Salad, Dal (Rajma/Mixed Dal), Mixed-Veg, Kofta Curry.

  • Snacks: Tea/Coffee, Pakoda, Finger Chips, Veg Cutlet, Maggi, Soup, Popcorn.

  • Dinner: Roti/Chapati, Rice/Chawal, Matar Paneer, Mixed Dal, Salad, Papad, Sweets (Gulab Jamun, Jalebi), Fruit Custard.

Initiating Cancellation:

Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Events:
  • If we cancel the trek due to unexpected situations like natural disasters, floods, or political unrest, we will issue a trek voucher instead of a refund. This voucher is valid for one year and can be used for the same or a different trek.

     

Cancellation Due to Personal Reasons:

If you cancel your trek for personal reasons, the following policy applies:

  • No Cash Refunds: We do not provide cash refunds. Instead, a voucher will be issued.

  • Cancellation 30 Days or More Before Trek: A voucher for the full booking amount will be issued.

  • Cancellation 20–29 Days Before Trek: 50% of the booking amount will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be provided as a voucher.

  • Cancellation Less Than 20 Days Before Trek: No voucher will be issued.
